Vezindario reimagines community living through cohousing in Grado, Asturias (Spain); a model that addresses isolation in old age, work–life imbalance, and the lack of sustainable housing. The name comes from the traditional Spanish word vecindario (“neighborhood”), but deliberately altered with a z: a symbol of change, a zigzag path that connects generations and different ways of life.
The identity balances innovation with local roots. Organic shapes in the logo evoke encounters and shared decisions, while the fly, a cultural emblem of Grado, reinforces local pride and emotional resonance.
The narrative extends into campaign posters centered on the question “What if we organized ourselves differently?”. Through a sequence of claims, the strategy reframes cohousing with humor, empathy, and belonging; challenging prejudices, inspiring reflection, and positioning the cooperative not just as a housing alternative, but as a movement to rethink how we live together.
This project encompasses branding, editorial design, signage, and digital communication, building a cohesive identity that balances innovation with local roots.
